Redesigned Starmark Website Makes It Easy to Quickly Access Tools and Information

LAKE FOREST, Ill., Feb. 26, 2007 Star Marketing and Administration Inc. (Starmark) announces the launch of its redesigned website to help clients quickly and easily access the tools and information they seek. The new site features several enhancements, including easy-to-use navigation, with tabs for each audience segment and topic-specific sections that group information into logical categories to help users quickly locate information.

 "We pride ourselves on providing true personal service to all our clients, and part of that is ensuring that they have access to the tools and information they need online as well," said Kim Croisant, Starmark Second Vice President of Marketing. “We have always been attuned to the requests and suggestions of our website user base, making enhancements and improvements when possible. This is just the next step in the process as we continue to provide our clients with the ease of access and expanded information they deserve.”


The site now features:

  • New layout and search tools throughout site make navigation a breeze.
  • Expanded pharmacy section, with more information and interactive tools, helps users learn more about their options, compare drugs and more.  
  • Personalized benefit information is available, including plan coverage for employers and EOBs for members.
  • Healthy Foundations health and wellness tips, and decision support tools help members make informed decisions about their healthcare.
  • Value-added programs promoting the “extras,” including Express Connect telephone enrollment and maternity assessment program.
  • Additional reference material for plan administrators regarding ancillary plans and employee continuation plans.


Plus, the site features a new friendly online dog named S.P.O.T., an acronym for Starmark Personal Online Tools. S.P.O.T. welcomes users and appears on various pages throughout the site.

"In addition to providing our managing general agents and producers with key information and sales tools they need to sell and service accounts, our site also helps members quickly access critical decision support tools that they need to make more informed decisions about their healthcare – and ultimately control their overall costs," said Vicky Welninski, Starmark Marketing Senior Manager of Technical Services and project team lead.

The project spanned the course of more than a year of collaborative work between Starmark, Information Systems and Corporate Communications. Before redesigning the site, Starmark conducted focus groups and usability tests, soliciting feedback from producers, group administrators, employers and members. As a result, benefit information was expanded, more resources were included to better facilitate employer plan administration and new tools were added to better educate members on pharmacy-related issues. Additionally, the new site employs the use of a content management system to enable more efficient management of site content.
