Recommended Browser
To optimize viewing of the Starmark website it is recommended that Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.1 or higher is used.  However, Netscape's Version 4.74 or higher can also be used.  The website can also be viewed by older browsers; however, the functionality and look may be compromised

The following settings sould be enabled on your browser to optimize viewing of the Starmark website.

  • JavaScript
    • Starmark uses JavaScript to enhance website functionality and assist our users in successfully completing various applications.
  • Cookies
    • A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user's hard drive containing information about the user.  Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally indentifiable information while on our site.  Cookies are required to gain access to secured areas of the site, and can be a convenience by limiting the need for the user to enter duplicate information as they advance from page to page through the site.  Cookies can also enable us to track and target the interests of our users to enhance the experience on our site.

      Trustmark respects the privacy of personal files in the computers of our visitors.  Trustmark does not access, read, upload or store data contained in or derived from these private files.

  • Java
    • Starmark uses Java to enhance user interaction with the website.
  • Acrobat Reader
    • In order to view or download forms you must have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer. We recommend staying up-to-date with the current released version of Acrobat Reader to minimize problems.
  • Incompatibilities
      • Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or lower
      • Netscape version 4.73 or lower
      • America Online

      If you are having trouble viewing or interacting with the Starmark website you may have an outdated browser. It is suggested you upgrade your browser to navigate through the Starmark website. If you continue to have problems with the Internet, contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP).

Error Messages
  • Slow Response
    • There are countless reasons for a slow response time when using the Internet. Here are a few examples and solutions.
      • At certain times of the day, the Internet experiences heavier traffic.
        Solution: access the Internet during the morning or later in the afternoon or evening.
      • Your Internet connection. The Internet can be accessed by a 28.8 kb modem to a T1 line and the speed varies with each connection.
        Solution: if you continue to experience slow response time from the Internet, call your Internet Service Provider (ISP) for assistance.
      • Your PC's memory is used to capacity.
        Solution: Close some applications that are not being used in order to free up memory for your browser to use.
  • Error 404 - File not found
    • This error means the server was unable to find the file/document or web page you were requesting. You might encounter this error if you incorrectly type the web address or if the file has been removed, renamed or is temporarily or permanently unavailable. Try entering the web address again. If that does not work, contact customer service at 800.522.1246 ext. 5350.
  • Why do I recieve an error message when trying to open a form?
    • If you have an old version of Adobe Acrobat Reader you will experience problems opening documents.  Go to www.adobe.com to download the latest version of Acrobat Reader for free.
  • Why do I have to Log On again?
    • To provide security for our website and our users, our website has an automatic time out function.  If you have been logged on but you have not been active on our website for 30 minutes we will ask you to log on again.
  • Account Locked
    • This error appears after a user has tried to enter the secured portion of our website but has entered his or her password incorrectly three times.  To correct this, click on "forget your password", answer the question(s), and your password will be e-mailed to you in a few minutes.
  • Log On attempt failed.
    • This error means you have entered either your User ID or password incorrectly. Enter your information again. Hint: passwords are case sensitive and are 6-32 characters in length. If you continue to experience problems, please contact customer service for assistance at 800.522.1246 ext. 5350.
